I have an 0-200 engine for sale. I acquired this engine as part of a package of parts I bought earlier this year for my restoration project. The details are as follows: Seven years ago, this engine was hung on an Ercoupe that was being restored in Arizona. The owner died mid-project. The project was purchased by the “Ercoupe Salvage Yard” in Tucumcari, New Mexico, where it sat in a barn for the next seven years. I bought the project this past April for the fuselage, engine mount and other parts I needed. I do not need the engine as I had my old one overhauled earlier. This engine has no log books (the salvage yard could not find them) so it is being sold as a core. The accessories that comes with this engine are a starter and an alternator…no mags or carberator. I sold it last week to a local guy. We agreed that I would refund his money if any of the components in the lower half of the engine were not within specification. His mechanic split the engine and sent all the components out for inspection. They all were within tolerance. He called me yesterday and said he wants to return the engine for a refund, not because of any issues with the components in the lower half of the engine, but rather because three of the cylinders have cracks and need to be either overhauled or replaced. I have not seen the cracks he mentioned but I am taking his word on this. Even though this was not part of our agreement, I am going to take the engine back and give him his money back. So, it is for sale, again. The price in $3500. It is located in Daytona Beach, Florida. The same offer I made the first buyer still stands…I will give the buyer a full refund if any of the components in the lower half of the engine are not within tolerance. I'm in need of a center wing spar or complete center section for a 1946 C model. This is the newer style spar. The serial number is in the 8000's. Does anyone know if it is possible to take a good spar cap off a corroded spar and put it on a non corroded unit, Someone drilled holes in my spar cap. The rest is fine. The plane is too good to scrap but I am not having a lot of luck finding this part.

Telling a C or CD (light sport) from a D is becoming quite a problem. I have found two purported C or CD touted as being light sport when in fact they are 1400 lb. gross weight aircraft, or essentially D models based on 337's filed with the CAA/FAA. Does anybody know the exact date it became possible for someone to file a form 337 changing the gross weight of a C or CD from 1260 up to 1400 lbs. gross weight? Could make a difference on a lot of aircraft and may just qualify some that are now disqualified.

Does anyone know of a source for surplus control column U-joints at a reasonable price. Current new production prices are running from $92 to $210 each. Part no. may be MS20271-B10. The 1 indicates "with boot". Old part no was AN271-B10 and National stock no. is 3010-00-269-9987. I have found some without the boot. Does anyone know if the original U-joint had a boot. Does anyone have extra ones they'd sell. I'm told this is the correct Apex U-joint but that one end may need shortened. Thanks
